Would I be approved for a mortgage loan without a co-signer?

Deal Score0

I have been at my current job for 3 years now and make $ 40,000 a year. I am 22 years old and married. My wife has no credit and just a part time job. My credit score is around 670 or 774 on the vantage score chart. we are looking at a house for $ 100,000. Would we be able to get approved for that amount? Also we are first home buyers and don’t have a down payment. Would we qualify for the first time home buyer credit and loan?

Thanks for all your answers as they are very much appreciated.

I’m hoping for a chart that shows how PMI costs vary depending on down payment, term of loan, etc.

You should, depending on your present debt, except you need a down payment, you can’t buy without one, as well as money for closing.

There is a HUGE difference between 670 and 774, that does not sound right, that there is a spread like that.

Put down 20% and avoid PMI.

Go with an FHA loan and you don’t have to worry about it.
