What is my tax return for 2009?

Deal Score0

In the filing as married couples – Mixed made right around 31,000 in wages for 2008, live in Oklahoma has increased from 8,000 in tuition, a new home bought for $ 134,900, so I tax credit since 7500 I qualified. 2008, I spent 3300 on the interests of my mortgage. Property taxes were about $ 1,500 for 2008. I can freeze a machine HR, said again and again as $ 10 900 I thought it was a little high. Ah yes I already paid $ 4,100 for federal taxes.

    First off, usual gripe, it’s REFUND, not return.

    As for refund. One income:
    31000
    – 10900
    – 7000
    = 14000, tax 1400.
    education credit could be 1400
    tax = 0
    so refund 4100 withheld, 7500 home loan, yeah, 10,900 is possible.

    v b is correct.

    I just want to reinforce – the $ 7500 first-time homebuyer thing is a LOAN, not a credit. You will be expected to pay it back over several years. Don’t go into it thinking it’s “free money”.

    Rates for doing tax returns vary. It is impossible to say how much yours will be.
