What if my credit score is 539, and I pay off collections how much will my score significantly increase?

Deal Score0

I have a few medical bills and two companies I owe. I’m currently paying off the last year of my car. Does anybody have experience or knowledge they can share?

If already in collections, there’s really nothing you can do to improve your score. It’s on it for 7 years.

HOWEVER, if you have the FULL amount that is owed available, you can write to the collections agency and tell them you’ll pay in full ONLY if they remove the debt from your credit history and respond within 30 days. Demand that they respond in writing, agreeing to your terms.

It’s a little more complicated then what I outlined above, so use Google to research how to make this deal with them, and do it in a way that doesn’t cheat you.
