What credit card might I be eligible for? I had credit card debt which I paid off in five years thru a Credit?

Management Bureau. I swore to never get another credit card, but unforseen family expenses are not within my means at this time. I receive a retirement check each month, and my husband works full-time, but he only pays 1/4 of the household bills, which leave me in very dire straights. When I’ve applied for credit cards lately, I include his income even though we only benefit from a small portion of it. I have been denied for credit – I am guessing because of the debt which I have paid off.

Now that I am emotionally stable (thanks to medication) enough to work again, I am working hard at finding a job. Meanwhile I need to have a credit card because of car repairs, medical bills and other essentials that have been costing me more than I can afford each month. As soon as I get a job I will be able to pay off this credit card and then will close the account.
What arrogant answers. Obviously none of you have had mental or physical problems which have prevented you from working. Instead of being insulting, thank the Lord that you are able to work and function as a normal person.
Iffy, so I should disregard paying medical bills until I am able to find a job? Is that really something that you yourself would do?

Don’t get one. You have not corrected your idea of credit and will find yourself back in debt again.
Credit cards are for expenses you can pay in full at statement time. NOT for medical bills and car repairs

Sorry, but creditors do not work off your plans to get a job and pay them off when you are able. They want to know you have the credit rating and income to qualify now.

The only credit you would be able to get (because it sounds as if you need to re establish your credit after a bad run with it) is a secured card.

the sad part of your question is that you are serious about it……
