What are the steps for buying a house?

Deal Score0

My boyfriend and I have finally decided to take the plunge and buy a house, we are tired of apartments and want to settle down. But neither of us have gone through the process before, and our families have both built their own houses. We know you have to put a certain amount down and we are pretty confident that we have enough for it. We just don’t know where start. Like do we find a house first then see if we can get a big enough loan first? Or if we go through a Realtor do they take care of all the paper work and help us with everything like a lawyer does? We need at least a 3 bedroom, because we already have a son. I know we can’t afford like a $ 150,000 house, but we also don’t want a run down house that we have to settle with. Is there like a website that helps with this stuff? Please help, I want to make sure we do all this right!

First thing you do is go to the library and borrow some books on buying a house. Research will pay off in the end.
Then you assess your finances, check credit reports and finally look at websites for mortgage lenders. Familiarize yourself with the requirements to qualify, what rates are and the length of time mortgages are offered.
Then start interviewing real estate agents.

1)First go to a lender and see how much loan you are qualified for. Most realtors would want to see that you are qualified for the loan before going ahead with you.

2)find a realtor, interview 3-4 agents and work with the guy who you are more comfortable with..If you are buying the house, make sure he/she is a buyers agent(i.e he/she will look for your best interest..)…very important.!!! read this for more on this topic..

3)once you have selected the agent, your agent will take you to look at houses based on your needs.

4)After you have selected a house, make a offer, negotiate, your realtor will help you with this.

5)Get the house inspected before closing and if you find any problems ask the seller for a discount.

    6)closing.

note:-this are very basic steps.once you get a realtor he/she will guide you through everything so dont worry..!!!
