Untrue Statements by Credit Agency Query?

Deal Score0

I have a number of companies who I am in dispute with over money they say I owe them. These companies have posted on credit agencies that I am in default of payment. I have posted notice of correction but these accounts are still on my credit file, and as your credit score is set electronically my notice of correction does not affect my score. The credit agencies are actually libelling me. What can I do to correct this without incurring High Court costs.
Not ID theft just companies demanding more money than I contracted to pay in most cases.

You don’t mention if these bills are yours.
Sounds like someone stole your identity.
This is usually done by a family member such as a parent, a relative, or a roomate
Ask here how to deal with ID theft – if you have been a victim.
If this is your debt – there is nothing you can do

I find it very unlikely that MULTIPLE debts all ‘overcharged’ you.
More like you didn’t read the small print.

They are not libelling you as you have made the notice of correction. the only way these are going to go away is to have the accounts themselves resolved in your favour which may involve litigation. You probably won’t need to incur High Court costs unless the balances owed are very high.

You can use the county court to make a claim against the companies in question or wait until they take legal action at their cost and then file a defence.
