No – just put Obama in charge and he’ll make sure you stay poor; you’ll be lucky just to put food on the table.

No, but large credit-granting corporations shouldn’t be enticing and then allowing people who can’t afford this excessive amount of credit either. Not only is it bad business (Ask Bear Stearns about that) but it’s horrible for the economy when they foreclose on houses etc. and it’s obviously horrible for these people under a mountain of debt.

Well you are right, if everyone had a Democratic advisor, they wouldn’t have a house (they would be living in subsidize housing), they wouldn’t have a car (but would have a free bus pass), and they wouldn’t have credit cards (the food stamp card does not count).

And also to prevent them from getting pregnant, over-eating, drinking too much, smoking/snorting crack/cocaine., etc.

And of course the personal government representative would also explain to the person that if they do any of the above, that it is ok: an abortion/adoption/full government funding and aid will be provided for your unwanted child, your not fat because you eat to much – it is genetic (and excercise can harm you), your drinking problem is your parents fault, and you will be provided with out-patient drug rehab.

Of course they should. Why should a citizen of this country be forced to make uninformed decisions that will ruin their lives.
    Just kidding of course….
Why are people so stupid and irresponsible? Why can’t we just say that stupid people do stupid things. It is not governments job to fix peoples mistakes.

It’s because of people like you that life in America has become so limited, that our freedoms are basically systematically being taken away from us. You’re the perfect paradigm. Would you want someone hovering over your shoulder telling you exactly what you must do with your life, how to spend your money, and how you should live? “Poor people” should just learn to live within their means. NO ONE should be forced to have people like this over their shoulders(i.e., “democrat financial advisers”) just because of how much money they acquire. It’s only if they do these things (applying for credit cards they can’t afford, cars, loans, etc) should they suffer the consequences. And only then. Besides, it’s just another way to waste the American people’s tax dollars that you’re proposing.

Only 1 of 10 people receive Food Stamps. 1 in 6 get stamps. Various states have government employment telling people how much money they should be spending on food every month.

The Federal Gov increases the cost of a new auto by mandating “SAFETY” equipment (check the price of an air bag).

Illinois’ governor recently made regularly scheduled public transportation free for seniors. With escalating tax burdens and requiring more expensive cars (see above), the Govt is “encouraging” the seniors to surrender their licenses.

Give the Govt another 20 years and a significant number of Americans will live on their Government Authorized Pension Amount (SSI), Govt Authorized Medical Insurance (Medi-Care), Govt Authorized Transportation methods (Bus) and your Food Stamp caseworker will be your financial advisor who coordinates with the local public housing program.

And the Rest of Society will have invested in a private pension (IRA, ROTH, etc)
