Residential Property – Tax Question?

Deal Score0

If I am on jointly listed on the deed to residential real property acquired in California, but not on the loan and there is a notarized joint ownership agreement between myself and the individual on the loan, am I allowed to write off a portion of the mortgage interest, property taxes and other qualified expenditures if the joint ownership agreement allows it?

You can deduct what you are legally obligated to pay (as long as you pay it).
