I have a mortgage application with a large U.S. bank. I was waiting for the approval process is completed and the deadline to be determined. Speed was a latch lock in the loan last April because of delays in the bank one free for 7 days with extensions. “Committed to point the controller of their conditions of approval can be met by the seven-day period of grace, and now they say I must pay 0.25 karistus.Kas points if they do so, I have options?
Cut your losses and go to another lender.
You say that you have “mortgage application” (am I to infer that at this point in time you have chosen a house to apply this loan to?) If not, cancel the loan – and take your business elsewhere. I’m sure that there are other loan companies available to you. There is no reason for you to “pay” a penalty – if you were unable to provide some requirement within 7 days! Poop on them!
The bank missed the lock date because of their failure to complete their procedures in a timely manner. Now they want you to pay a quarter point for their incompetence? Buddy your name must be Phillip because you are being screwed.
