Pour cette nouvelle Eau de toilette masculine, les parfumeurs ont eu la liberté de choisir les plus belles matières premières.
Christine Nagel et Mathilde Bijaoui, deux femmes, deux nez, ont composé ce nouveau parfum empreint de masculinité assurée. Un parfum très viril, où deux belles matières premières de la parfumerie se rencontrent, mais à l’élégance raffinée avec une touche florale évidente et envoûtante de violette. Fausse discrète, la violette se découvre ici en feuilles et fleurs. Parmi les bois sélectionnés, figure un prince, un roi, le très prisé bois de oud, oriental mythique et sensuel dont les effluves balsamiques résineux donnent une facette fumée sensuelle et charnelle.
En départ, la fraîcheur de la bergamote pétille. Puis une farandole d’épices vient seconder la note boisée : safran, feuille de piments ainsi qu’une captivante et intrigante « jungle essence » de poivre. En fond se posent des notes baumées de ciste et des muscs pour affirmer une douceur sensuelle.

Le flacon en cristal s’inspire d’un motif emblématique, gai et joyeux, imaginé par René Lalique : le joueur de pipeau. Ce panneau a été créé par l’artiste en 1929 pour la décoration du train Orient-Express où il s’insère majestueusement dans un panneau acajou. Empreint d’un brillant style Art Déco, ce motif est une invitation au voyage pour le nouvel homme Lalique qui apprécie les beaux objets et l’aventure. Singulière particularité de ce nouveau flacon : deux motifs d’homme se répondent, l’un de face et l’autre de dos, alter ego de cristal.
Soufflé à la main, le flacon résulte du travail de quatre maîtres verriers. Puis son positionnement dans le moule en fonte permet d’imprimer le décor dans le cristal chaud. Le flacon est ensuite recuit plusieurs heures tandis que le bouchon est pressé manuellement. A froid, les décors sont polis-dépolis, signature des pièces emblématiques de la cristallerie Lalique. Enfin, flacon et bouchon sont soigneusement appairés.
Pour le flacon en verre, la maison a choisi, en collaboration avec le designer Thierry de Baschmakoff (Aesthete), de jouer le verre dans une abstraction pure, simple et géométrique. Une belle mise en abyme du motif de la collection d’accessoires de salle de bain Duncan créée par René Lalique en 1931. La verticalité du flacon, la démultiplication de ses lignes, toute cette sobre géométrie Art Déco accentue le caractère masculin du flacon. Sur le capot figure, en pictogramme, le logo hirondelle que s’est choisi Lalique comme emblème.
L’étui joue la masculinité affirmée avec le choix d’un sobre ton marron, mais habillé d’un vernis brillant qui reprend le cadre du flacon. S’ajoute un effet de plaque en marquage à chaud argent avec le nom Hommage à l’homme. Avec élégance, un bandeau habille l’étui.
