Need information about Amerigroup Mortgage?

I am a military service member. I bought a home through a VA loan. Recently, I have been solicited by Amerigroup Mortgage. They claim that they can drop my interest down to 3%, save me $ 261.00 a month, and that they are the number 1 VA lender. I recognize this is a hybrid loan that becomes variable after 4 years. Interest is based upon bonds instead of the stock market. They claim that the interest on my home loan will not supercede 8% a month after the first 4 years.

I have read some bad, and some good about this company. A rep is stopping by tomorrow.

What are your experiences with this company? Are they legit? Are they up to par when it comes their claims? Are there any nasty surprises awaiting for me if I sign the paperwork? What do you feel I should know?

    You do not want to go with a hybrid or adjustable rate mortgage. Stick with a 30 yr fix rate loan. The interest rates are at an all time low and you won’t have any surprises.
