My credit score is 650, mortgage loan…?

Deal Score0

My credit score is 650. How likely am I to be approved for a mortgage loan?

I have been working in the same profession for a decade (same job for 1 1/2 years, before this 3 years, accountant).

650 is a reasonable credit score but in the climate of banks and other lending institutions getting wrenched in the gut for the Sub-prime mortgage rates, you are going to have to do some serious homework. If you are in the accounting field, I can’t understand why you of all people would not get it. Surely you cannot have escaped hearing the news and of course the primary elections going on in the US. Right now, it is “THE ECONOMY STUPID”. Remember that phrase?
Put a comprehensive financial plan together and see what you can realistically afford and acquire.

Your score is very important but not the only part of the approval. You have good steady employment and with a few dollars in assets and a decent debt to income ratio you will probably be approved.

Send me an e-mail and I’ll give you a hand with qualifying.
