I’m trying to refinance my mortgage loan. Can the bank tell me my credit score?

    If they want to I guess they could. They might not though. Doesn’t hurt to ask.
    Your FICO score costs less than $ 10 though.

    If anybody looks at the credit report, you have a right to all the issues to that inspection; no matter who it is.

    When you apply for a loan, you can get a copy of your credit report from the lender.

    However, technically speaking, you actually are only entitled to see your record for free if you are rejected. If you pass, there is no actual rule that says they have to let you see the score that they paid for. You could get your score on your own, so they are not withholding info from you.

    If your lender won’t let you see it, it’s a sign to go somewhere else. Bad faith at this phase is not a good sign.

    The bank actually must tell you the score by law. However, they are only required to do it in the closing documents, which means after the loan has been approved.

    Getting the score is pretty cheap. It’s a good idea to get your reports and the scores before applying for any loans. BTW, a credit report by itself does not contain the score, it’s always an extra thing.
