    Because as taxpayers we are disorganized and easily controlled. They’ll be raising our taxes soon enough.

    They’re not being given out any more, that’s why it has been so hard for people to get loans now. Lenders have tightened their purse strings rather tightly. It’s just that there are still literally thousands of Adjustable Rate Mortgage loans still due to reset and the rates will go up. This is why we still see foreclosures increase.

    I get tons of ads for all the exact “toxic” things that caused the trouble in the first place. Every offer has ways for the seller to pay 6% of the buyer’s costs. In effect, the buyers are putting little or no money into the house..
