I would like to sue CitiMortgage, Inc. for $162.000.00?

Deal Score0

I applied to refinance my Home loan with Citibank and was told, by my Mortgage Consultant, that I qualified for a streamline refinance. After I paid the application fee and filled out all the appropriate paperwork I found out that a Mortgage Loan Coordinator had mistakenly coded my loan and no longer would qualify for the “Streamline Refinance.” CitiMortgage now refuses to refinance me at the agreed rate and term.
Do you think I have a case?

Probably not. Banks and loan companies have the right to deny financing based on their own criteria. Unless the information supplied to you was a deliberate bait and switch attempt (and you would have to prove it), I don’t see that you have any option.

You may not have a case. However, the opinions of strangers online who have very little information about this situation cannot compare to the advice your attorney will give after reviewing the documents and listening to you.

Consult your attorney. If you have a winnable case against an entity with assets sufficient to satisfy the anticipated judgment, the attorney should offer a contingency fee contract. In such an arrangement, you would not pay the attorney. The attorney would get paid only if he won and collected the money from the defendant.

This is really the wrong place for this type of thing.

You need to be working with a wordprocessor to format everything in an attractive way.

Why can’t you just say as the objective, Customer Service Representative? You should leave the kissing up stuff in your cover letter.

    Three things
    1. One this is a place to ask questions you are confused about not a place to be lazy and let other people do your work

    2. You know yourself better then anyone else so you should be doing your resume

    3. What the duece is your question?

Just with a quick glance, take out the objective, it’s not needed anymore and it’s rather blah.

Do not put responsibilities include but are not limited to…Just put Responsibilities and bullet point all the things you did, making them one sentence and to the point.
    * Analyzed the needs of customers, answered questions and resolved problems

*Maintained (make sure you stay in the same tense throughout the resume) client accounts (you may want to include specifics on how you maintained them.
*Contacted Abstractors to verify legal information

Your school info needs to be switched so that you have your most recent first.

Those are a few things, you should post this on the resume helper on Monster.com, they can help you more then I can

Your objective is too jargony and useless for one. The “references available upon request” is completely unnecessary and you need to put in accomplishments, not duties. In other words, omit “Responsibilities include but not limited to”.

I would really need to tinker with this off-site in order to really help you. Your sentences go back and forth between present and past tense, there is too much jargon and fluff in it, grammar is lacking, too many highlighted duties [accomplishments], and you need to consider limiting all of these points to short bullet points using no more than 3-4 per section.

Try “Experience” over “Work History”, “Qualifications” over “Skills”. In education, you may want to try:

August 1998 – June 2000 ABC High School, Yourtown, Yourstate
    Diploma

2004 Completion of Certificate of Creation Therapy

Your primary goal is to sum up YOU as simply and quickly as possible. The fluff and other nonsense will leave you hitting the trash bin.

If you would like me to work on it and really show you via e-mail, feel free to message me for my address.

First place to start is your Objective – I am not been rude; but HR will view it as it is all about you and what you want – not what you can offer their company and how they get the benefit.

Try something along the lines of

‘To find an entry-level role in an organsiation that values customer service as one of, if not the, most important area of operations and where I may use my skils to provide the best possible standard of service in accordance with company procedures and policies to clients’.

You might like to play with it a bit – but you get the drift.

Also, I would cut the reference to Bible studies – unless you are applying to a Christian organisation – it may frighten some places as they will think you will spend your time saving souls.

If you are asked to account for the period of time verbally – tell the truth you were
    Studying theology
    Bibilical period history
This makes you sound as though you are studious – saying you were doing Bible studies because mom said or because you are a devote Christian is not a good idea – can raise for HR issues relating to discrimination etc – particularly if they have had problems before.
