I would like to rent a house…?

Deal Score0

…I know I have a shaky credit rating and have failed checks for a mobile phone contract and a credit card recently…The only explanation is overdraft charges. No CCJ’s, No mispayments (in fact no direct debits set up before recently. I wasn’t sure if I was on the Electoral Roll so have taken steps to make sure I am. I have adaquate funds and income to pay off rent/phone/bills/council tax and can prove I ern as much as I do.

I was under the impression getting a credit card and paying little debts off would help my credit rating, but was declined a credit card.

How do I correct or repair my credit rating quickly, money is no object, if I have failed to get a credit card and can’t get any money?

Plus for bonus points…what is my actual credit rating. How do I see it (surely making it easier to see how I can better it) and what actions make better differences.

I sort of feel like I’m drowning without any idea which way the surface is.

You can’t repair credit quickly and you can’t fix it with money alone. Your credit rating is a way of measuring your behavior with your debtors. Bouncing checks to your creditors recently isn’t helping matters either.

I can’t answer the rent part or where to get your current credit rating because I’m in the USA and you appear to be in another country.

    Good luck.
