I am graduating with my undergrad degree in Spanish and Biology in December and need to know the first steps to acheiving my goal.

Classes in financial accounting, principles of finance, personal finance and financial planning will help you there. Kaplan University has an online certificate program in financial planning. There are alot of areas, such as mortgage loans, that the certificate can probably help you get into.

I can’t specifically answer your question. But I can tell you I have a friend who is a mortgage broker. He makes outstanding money, roughly around 14 times more than the average for this area. If you have an eye for detail and don’t mind working with lots of paperwork you can make a lot of money in this field. He seems to like it a lot.
