depends on your rate of interest

also have to include mortgage insurance

homeowner’s insurance

utilities – phone – gas – electric – cable

value of house in 2011 = \$ 125,000 under Obama

Your monthly costs would be as follows:
Mortgage (\$ 180K loan, 5% interest) \$ 967
Property Tax (low estimate) \$ 233
Insurance \$ 40
Total = \$ 1,240 per month
There are also maintenance costs in a house, for example you will need to buy a lawn mower, etc.

A mortgage of 200k estimate is 2k a month which covers all expenses

Too many factors that affects this formula. For a \$ 200,000 house if you do not have a 20% down payment then you will have not only the mortgage payment, but PMI insurance. If you put down 20% you will have mortgage, taxes and insurance on the home. You may have a separate bill from the city for waste disposal. These are out of pocket monthly expenses. Don’t forget that ALL maintenance falls on you, so everything from the yard to the repairs fall on you.

Your credit score has a big impact on the rate the bank charges you. The difference between someone with excellent credit and poor credit can mean an almost double monthly payment.

To find out what the monthly payment would be go to the site http://www.woodbridgerealestate.blogspot.com on the right hand side you will see a mortgage calculator, it will allow you to input info and give you an estimate. Also on the right hand side this site has a “buyers guide” it helps you to Decide what type of mortgage to get, detailed info on picking a mortgage company and other info on buying a home. You should check it out.

I hope this helps!
