How do I go about fixing my credit and paying off all my debts if I have not keep track of them?

Deal Score0

I am currently trying to get my life back on track and recover from a disastrous past when it comes to financial matters ( and some personal problems). I am not sure where to even begin to try and pay off all my debt since did not keep track of anything.

Any advise would be helpful. I am trying to avoid filing for bankruptcy or going with one of those credit repair places.

Start with a copy of your credit bureau report. That should point out the problems that lenders will see.

First, run your credit report (you can run it for free via the link below).

Look at what your report says, and usually it gives you phone numbers of your creditors.

Start contacting your creditors and see if paying off your debt will help improve your rating with them.

I hope you get good news.

I have found on the net that there are a lot of things about fixing your credit you can buy some good some not. I bought these programs that have worked wonderfully. If you follow their easy instructions you will improve you credit and credit score. They even have the forms or letters you should use to send to the credit bureaus. I even bought some for my daughter who filed bankruptcy and she has improved her credit also. I try to tell everyone about these programs because they are so good. I feel I have gotten my moneys worth buying them.

You may not have a choice but to seek help from a credit repair agency or debt consolidation. Unless you have the time, patience, and now the funds to pay off your outstanding debt, you will need help. Not all credit repair companies are crooks. Try http://www.newmillcredit.com

Start with the 3 main credit bureaus. They should list everything that is currently listed on your report, and its FREE! I would then sit down with a your local bank and have them go over everything with you.

In the mean time, don’t make any major purchases and spend only on those things you have to.

Be prepared to down size and allow yourself to rebuild if necessary.

    Good Luck!

You need a copy of your credit report. Then I would contact your local non profit consumer credit counselling service. They will help you design a budget and contact your creditors on yoru behalf.

Try getting a copy of your credit report from all three bureaus. Go through them with a fine tooth comb. Then either use a credit counselor or you can contact all the creditors yourself and try to pay off what you can. Sometimes you can make a large one time payment in lieu of the full amount owed.

Once you have that all make sure if you doa one time payoff that you ask them to take it off your credit report. Get everything in writting though!!!!!!
