I am 25, and after 4 years of working and living at home I have managed to save $200,000. I am thinking of buying a house in all cash so I won’t have to worry about mortgage payments for the foreseeable future. I am torn between two areas where I would like to live. If you were me, which would you chose? Oh I am also a single guy if that matters with no pets. I would consider getting a dog.
A) New York City-
1 Bedroom/1 bath studio apartment. 11×14 Living room with small kitchen. 700 square feet with terrace in Midtown Manhattan.
I would be in the heart of the cultural and financial center of the United States.
Austin,Texas
3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom brand new home. 2000 square feet with pool.
Its in Texas, enough said.
I was born and raised in New York but I moved to Texas during high school and attended college here if that matters.
