Foreigners can obtain a mortgage and invest in real estate without a permanent resident of the United States?

I’m sure this is possible, but I want to make sure. Basically, a man whom I know are from another country and do not live in the U.S. and wants to buy the property, especially to rent the house and the other to manage the United States.     I am nearly sure that this is Possible as long as the Assets stay in the USA.
    I am sure that the Bank and Mortgage Bank have all the Legal Documents ready for this type of transaction.

    I hope not. It would be sad if a foreigner could get it and most americans cant even get a loan for a house to actually live in.

    I have heard of lender’s ordering an appraisal in a case where there were 2 loans and only one approval letter had been received, but not with out the buyer’s knowledge or consent. The risk of ordering the appraisal before a approval letter is received should have been explained to you and it should have been your decision as to whether one was ordered. I would definitely make it an issue at the bank. Go to the supervisor of the person who ordered the appraisal. If that person won’t help go, to that person’s supervisor. Go to the president of the bank if you have too. Tell them you are going to report them to the BBB. Don’t let them charge you for a mistake they made. I would also remind them that one should never assume. Good Luck
