Escaping the daily grind… How to guide needed…?

Deal Score0

I make about $ 8000 a month pre-tax. I have about $ 1300 a month in loans. A mortgage, a husband who is a good man, live in a nice place in the city. I’m in good physical shape and health (despite my screename). But I feel stuck and stressed. I enjoy the type of work I do but it is incredibly stressful (healthcare). I am 26 years old. I worry my years are flying by. I love Spain and I want to live there. Despite that things look good on paper I feel like I need more in life. I don’t want to just work my life away. I don’t want to settle for the status quo… I spent so much time working hard to get to this point, only to find I’m still stuck again… just in a different way. I need to figure out how to create an income that covers my loans and mortgage and health insurance so that I am free. I know this sounds unrealistic, but I’ve been very poor in my life. I have a lot now (material wise) , but I don’t need allot of material things. They don’t matter much to me. I just want to be free. I’m sure I’m not the only one that thinks it.. and many people have done it… can anyone enlighten me? any ideas? Serious answers only please…. oh and no pyramid schemes either…
to answerer #1. Yes they are school loans that are consolidated so the interest can’t go down. I have a little less then $ 150,000 in loans. I do go on vacations, it’s never enough. I’ve stayed in Spain a few weeks and I love it (twice). I’m not saying it’s better in some way than the US but for me personally, I just love the culture, the people, the way of life. And my car.. I bought the cheapest toyota on the lot that gave the best gas mileage (toyota yaris). It’s paid in full. Great for those hour long rides to and from work…ugh…

take that good man honey and go on a vacation. one you can relax and think about how you got that way and how to live more simply..
You’ve got quit alot of loans. College? I would try to wipe those out by trying to lower your interest on them. Try to pay one off in big chunks,
then apply that payment, plus the regular payment to another til you pay the next one off,,,and so on…what are you driving?something really nice? when you need a car, think of buying a dealer, marked down,or slightly used car…don’t buy it with a loan,,save the money up and then buy the car out right clear and clean.
If Spain is your dream,I think I would go there and stay a few days, week, see if it’s really all that greater than the us…good luck! and try to destress some of your life.

Your idea is not totally unrealistic at all. Read “Mortgages, Money and Magic” to find out how.
