Does anyoe know of a website where you can view whats in your credit report in detail?

Deal Score0

I use creditkarma.com to monitor my credit score, but you can’t monitor the details of what’s actually in your report and affecting your score either positively or negatively at the time. I know there is a site you can go to for free and view these things, and even find a way to dispute whatever has been paid off, yet still listed on the report, but it’s been so long that I can’t find the website again.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

You can get one free copy of your credit reports each year at: http://www.AnnualCreditReport.com

You can get your free annual credit report from each of the three credit bureaus online thru AnnualCreditReport.com. The reports are free, the scores are not. Pull one credit bureau every 4 months to spread ’em out thru the year. It is much more important to review your credit reports for accuracy than tracking your score.

You should also keep in mind that CreditKarma is not FICO scores but are generally within 50 points or so. Good enough if you are curious about your score. The only place to get real FICO scores is Myfico.com.

The free annual credit report is very helpful, as has been mentioned, the credit score, is just a guide from any credit bureau. Even with a FICO credit score of 800, you can be turned down for credit, if for example you just lost your job, and have no immediate income, or your salary is not sufficient for the credit product.

The content of your credit report is the key factor, so accessing your free annual credit report is key or buying more regular access if you are making a few credit applications over a year.
