Chanel – Bois des Iles

The smell of autumn, of the forest, of the great dark woods… Bois des Iles was created in 1926 by Ernest Beaux, the Russian emigrant and the main perfumer of the house of Chanel. It is said that Les Galants created Bois des Iles while he was passionate about Tchaikovsky’s Queen of Spades, the opera inspired by Puskin’s novel of love and danger and that it was his favorite creation.
Ladies are offered the Traditional masculine woody composition, but could be tried by men as well. The dry and spicy freshness leads to the floral heart, the light sweetness of the undulates with dry and dark woody notes. In the end, the composition becomes warmer, more comfortable and tame, as if entering a dark room illuminated by the fireplace flame.
