Can i Choose what i want to do with my car?

Deal Score0

My mother had to co-sign my contract and auto finance in order for me to get my car because of my poor credit.
I recently got a DUI, my car was crashed, and needs repairs. I know a cheap place where they can fix it but my mother refuses to give me my car for me to fix it. In fact she refuses to disclose the location of where it is currently located. I have no idea where my car is!
She is the primary signer of the car and i am the co-signer, which i assume means that i have a part in this?
Do I have the right to get information on where my car is located and have it towed to a body shop to get it fixed?

Grow up and let the adult take care of the situation. It’s for the better. and thank you for being a great driver and bringing up insurance premiums for the rest of the country. We really appreciate it.

If you are the co-signer on the car, you do not own it. Your mother does. You have no right to demand anything.

    Sorry.

She’s doing this for your own good. You could have killed yourself or someone else. Time to grow up dude.

    1. It’s not your car — it’s your mother’s.
    2. You wrecked it while driving drunk, so you don’t DESERVE to know where it is.
    3. Stop whining, stop drinking and driving and start acting like a responsible adult.

WELL SWEETIE I AGREE WITH YOU ON CERTAIN BEHALF………..YOU ALREADY KNOW YOU ARE IN THE WRONG FOR DRINKING AND DRIVING FIRST OF ALL. SECOND YOU HAVE TO UNDERSAND YOUR MOTHER IS ONLY COVERING HER OWN ASS IT’S JUST AS A FRIEND WOULD DO. JUST BECAUSE IT’S “MOM” DOESN’T MEAN SHIT. HAD YOU NOT BEEN DOING WHAT YOU WERE DOING THERE WOULD BE NO NEED TO GET THE CAR REPAIRED. YOU TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A GOOD THING BECASUE FOR 1 YOUR CREDIT IS ALREADY FUCKED UP. YOU DON’T JUST START OF WITH BAD CREDIT, U GET IT LIKE THAT. YET, YOUR MOM WAS LIKE OK THIS IS MY SON I CAN DO IT AND SHE DID. IF ANYTHING YOU SHOULD HAVE CHERISHED THIS GIFT AS MONEY IN YOUR POCKET. BUT OBVIOUSLY THATS NOT CHERISHABLE EITHER BECAUSE YOU DID GET A DUI……OPPS!!!!!!!!

NO BUT SERIOUSLY THESE ARE THE CONSEQUENCES BECAUSE IF YOU DECIDE OK I DON’T WANNA GET THIS PEICE OF SHIT FIXED THEN IT’S LEFT ON HER. START THINKING ABOUT HER INSTEAD OF U

Your Mother legally owns the car. I suggest she get it fixed and sell it. You have poor credit and you got a DUI on top of it. You are bad news. You need to walk, ride a bicycle, bus or train and take some time to mature.

Oh….and yes, you did have a part in this….you made a mess and your Mommie is having to clean it up for you.

by co-signing she basically became responsible for payments if you failed to make payments……….

so this means the car is yours………

call the police and report it stolen………

after all, even though it’s wrecked, you are still making payments and it’s in your name………

You belong on a bus, not behind the wheel. Your mother is right in keeping her car away from you. Maybe when you grow up you will see why she did this.

You have to accept it, she gave you a chance to act responsible and you choose not to. So she is stepping in.
That what you have to do with little children who will not
behave. I see some one said call the police do that and they willl have a good laugh over it.
