Anyone know if Novadebt is legit?

I was watching Channel 5 Fox News recently and decided to check out their website. They were doing a series on debt management. On the website, people could write in with their questions about debt and advice was given to get back on track with their finances. Many of the counselors provided a phone number and a website for a company called
“Novadebt”. From what I can understand, you can supply info to the company about all of your debt and they will come up with a plan for you. You send them money and they divide your money up to pay your credit cards and such. I believe that it is a non-profit agency. Anyone know anything about it? I figured since Fox 5 was doing it that it was legit.

Thank you for posting your comment inquiring about Novadebt. I am the organization’s Compliance Manager and we are completely legit. Our organization is licensed to do business in all states, as required and we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax exempt entity. We provide consumer credit counseling, housing counseling, bankruptcy education and counseling as well as financial education to consumers across the country. Please feel free to visit our website: http://www.novadebt.org. Kudos to you for seeking further information as there are many fraudulent organizations in existence that have left consumers in a far worse place financially then when they began.
