Anyone else unhappy with JD Byrider?

Deal Score0

I purchased my Escort ZX-2 5/23/07, since then it has had motor mounts replaced, computer chip (acceleration) replaced (that is not isn’t covered on their 24/24 warranty). Now a pulley needs to be replaced and they want to charge me for it. I AM SO FED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let alone going a week so far without transportation to work.
I am not a first time customer either. And the other car was known for valve cover gasket problems, other then that, it was fine. Hook and crook yah when you have no other way to get a car cause your credit still isn’t all the way cleaned up.
Is there anything else I can do besides bite the bullet, contact better business bureau, and corporate office? Oh and NEVER go to them again.

Yaaa….. Lemme fill you in on JD Byrider…..

I work special finance (getting those with sub standard credit loans) at a franchise dealership and we take a lot of trade-ins. The ones that require too much work or have “hidden problems,” we don’t see them fit to be on our lot so we wholesale them. You know who then buys those cars? JD Byrider. And other BHPH lots.

    AVOID BHPH!!!

Do not buy a car from them. They handle a lot of JUNK. There are people or dealers out there that would give you a loan to buy a car.

When you buy at a place like that, you select from the dregs of the used car world. You should be able to buy from a reputable dealer. The only problem is you would be paying a high interest rate but I expect that is already happening. Sounds like the warranty isn’t worth the paper it is printed on. Just a note …reporting to the BBB only works if the business subscribes to them. They have no power to do anything other than report on problems with member businesses.
