American/Canadian Credit Score?

Deal Score0

Hey guys.

Im in kind of a rough situation here.

I was born in Detroit MI. So naturally I have an SSN
Then my family moved to canada were I became Crown Ward I was ‘adopted’ by the canadian government.

Once that happened I recived a SIN.

After turning 18 I moved back to the united stated and I DESTROYED my Anerican credit. I think the last time I checked it, it was like 412.

Yea I’m stupid, lets move on.

My question is, which you may have already guessed; If I move back to canada will my terrible American credit effect any credit building opertunitys in Canada?

or because I destroyed the credit attached to my SSN, will my SIN have Its own untarnished credit score attached to it?

Thanks in advance.

Your Canadian Credit will not be effected by your American credit. If your creditors found out that you now live in Canada then they may choose to pursue you and your credit in Canada could be effected. You should stay in Canada and use credit carefully. After 7 years all your derogatory info from your credit files in US will drop off that does not mean you don’t owe the money.
